After about a year of construction, planting, watering, and building Austin's Field hosted the first EWBL games on July 13th. Four EWBL teams traveled up to Suffield to take part in this awesome event.
The field is set back at Sinapaug Farm in Suffield. It was built by Keith Tautkus to honor his son Austin, who passed away from an ATV accident at the farm in 2014.
Austin had a love for the game of wiffle ball and it hoped that this field will be the host to many games, and events in the future.
The EWBL played four league games, enjoyed some food, and most importantly enjoyed time together at a place that means a lot to members of the EWBL.
Team Salwa went 2-0 on the night while Team Hayes, and Knickerbocker went 1-1. Team Janiga suffered two close losses.
The first pitch was thrown out by Keith Tautkus. The games also saw a return to EWBL action for Jason Tautkus.
