Tautkus-Russell Wiffleball Tournament

Started in 2014 by EWBL Danny Hayes the annual Tautkus-Russell Wiffleball Tournament has become the major event of the EWBL season. Over the past two years the tourney has risen over $7,000 for the Austin Tautkus Scholarship Fund, and to help aid Troy Russell's continued rehabilitation.

The tournament is played at Danny's mini-Fenway Park in Ellington, CT. In 2015, games were also played at Keith Tautkus' house as well. There have been 20 teams competing for the title the past two years.

In 2014 a team of Dustin Mocadlo, Kevin Dwire, Matt Anderson, and Mitch Cobb claimed the title over Erick Knickerbocker, John Allegra, Eric Senger, and Adam Zylberman 3-2.

In 2015 the team of Danny Hayes, Daniel McPartland, Nick Varney, and Bryan Fitzsimonds won the title over Erick Knickerbocker, John Allegra, Eric Senger, Adam Zylberman, Art Allegra, and Ant Allegra 2-1 in 9 innings.

Channel 3's John Holt visited the tournament in 2015 and the story made it way to the WFSB news.

With the increased exposure and positive results of the first two tournaments we are looking to double the tournament to 40 teams next year by creating multiple divisions including women, youth, old-timers, and open.

As always we are a looking for help organizing and sponsoring this great event.
